Polar Systems dewatering systems and sophisticated drying systems are designed to reduce surface moisture to less than 2%. Further processing including optical sorting and removal of foreign objects can also be achieved within the Polar Systems machinery portfolio.

Offering complete production lines including Polar Systems rotary onion peeling system and portioning and slicing machines Polar Systems clients can benefit from one responsive supplier for turnkey solutions. Intake solutions including tipping, handling and holding systems are available, to a hygienic process specification. The rotary onion peeler can be manually or automatically fed, is a dry peeling system with a hygienic design, and provides an excellent yield (little waste), one machine can process up to 6000 onions per hour. Waste systems for continuous removal of debris are available. Grading systems including roller tables and inspection tables are available as are further processing systems including portioning and slicing systems.

Tomato processing solutions including washing, grading and optical inspection systems are available as individual machines and as part of a complete process line. Specifically developed gentle handling systems are able to handle bulk infeed’s and to provide an even flow to the process line, using both flume and mechanical handling systems. Tomato washing, drying and grading systems can be accomplished with a simple to clean and maintain tanks and roller beds. Both manual and optical inspection systems can be integrated from Polar Systems portfolio. With a production line built to suit throughput requirements and as a standard typically processing around 2 tonnes of product per hour.

Cucumber washing, halving, slicing, portioning, de-coring and peeling systems are available. The Polar Systems cucumber portioning system uses an optical vision system with multiple blades dynamically adjusted to suit each individual cucumber to a pre-programmed criterion. Able to process an average of more than one cucumber every second per machine.
