We offer a complete range of popcorn machinery for industrial applications including:

• Small, medium and large popcorn kettles 25-150 kg/hr per kettle.
• A range of air expanding ovens 90-750 kg/hr output.
• Batch and continuous caramel systems.
• Additions systems including powder, liquid, chocolate and inclusions.
• Full turn-key production lines.

All of our systems are supported by the comprehensive range of processing equipment needed to make, sort, flavour and coat quality popcorn.

Our range of larger and smaller popping kettles and air-poppers are built to produce the best-quality popcorn every time. Based on the client's specifications with varying levels of automation, all of our machines are built for continued service in industrial environments.
Robust, easy to clean and simple to maintain through readily available parts, our machines are made from 304/316 stainless steel, made to your specifications and from food-quality FDA-approved plastics.

Large popcorn kettle systems

Larger kettles offer a fully automated process solution benefiting from batch cooking with continuous line flow. All Polar Systems kettles can be either gas or electrically heated, both using unique systems. All kettles in the range have the largest tip rotation on the market (120 degrees) and use electric tip motors for added safety and to reduce operational fatigue. Polar Systems kettles benefit from a top-mounted stirrer arrangement, which eliminates pan penetrations and gives a 100% stirred pan base.

Our larger systems boast paddle stop technology to reduce sugar clumping, a pan air purge system utilised when dumping cooked corn and automated lid opening allowing you greater control over the cooking process. Production system can feature multiple kettles supplying down-stream separation, coating and seasoning equipment all ensuring the highest quality output is achieved. Software innovations included in our simple to use interface make the machines fully interpretable into factory systems.

Small and Medium kettles

Polar Systems small and medium kettle systems, (manual and semi and fully automated) offer an industrial, safe and reliable base with a higher yield with improved quality compared to other kettles on the market. The medium kettle systems are self-contained allow one person to make approximately twice the popcorn, creating a direct and significant reduction in labour costs.

Due to the industrial design of all our kettles, reductions in maintenance costs and downtime are easily achieved as is an extended product life. Unique innovations as seen on our larger industrial systems also feature on our medium and small kettles as well as the ability to fully automate.

Air popping ovens

Polar Systems offer a range of innovative and robust air popping ovens, also known as air poppers, with throughputs ranging from 90 to 750 kg/hr, designed to be economical, safe, easy to use, simple to clean and maintain, reducing lifetime running costs. Their robust design uses 304/316-grade stainless steel and food-safe plastics, with high-quality, market-leading, gas-powered burners or electrical systems, which results in an extended lifespan and a longer return on your investment.

Our air popping ovens benefit from a case that uses highly effective, fully enclosed ceramic fiber insulation, dramatically reducing heat loss. Coupled with our unique baffle arrangement, which reduces running costs and ensures a high level of popping, you can enjoy minimal waste. Controlled by a simple-to-use touch screen HMI, you can integrate our air popping ovens into existing or new line controls or run independently.

Popcorn coating and additions

Whether in an automated batch or in a continuous process, we offer caramel cooking/coating systems as well as drizzle and sprinkle applicators and enrobing systems.

We offer a range of sizes to complement different line throughputs. Batch systems range from 30 kg/hr to 300kg/hr of popped corn per kettle. Continuous systems range from 100 kg/hr of popped corn to 300 kg/hr of popped corn input per screw.

Our automated caramel feeding, mixing, heating and holding solutions ensure that when your caramel reaches your product, it is in its optimum condition.

For continuous automated systems, an efficient steam-heated scraped heat exchange system is used to raise the caramel to its final hard crack temperature and a specifically designed steam jacketed auger mixes product and additions. The system features a clean-in-place function and is easy to disassemble for maintenance.

You can also take advantage of our machines to apply further additions including part and fully coated additions via enrobing, drizzle systems and sprinkle. Additions can also be added to the process to create a truly unique product. Versatile customised distribution systems can be designed to facilitate flexibility in your process.

With a wide range of Seasoning addition options available and a breadth of experience in their application under our belts, we can help with any seasoning or slurry application process. We offer a range of accurate and reliable systems, including options with ATEX ratings. Our most advanced feeders benefit from touch screen HMI and quick release breakdown of all elements for cleaning. You can also choose options for powder, liquid and slurry additions, including mixing, storage and application systems. Smaller units can benefit from integrated control systems and can be wheeled between lines, operating independently or integrated into your existing system. Tumbling drums are available in a variety of sizes and configurations depending on the product being processed.
